Our members are qualified teachers, sharing a common goal and a tradition of excellence in teaching Sarasota's musicians of today and tomorrow.

 

Members of the SMTA meet on a monthly basis, have on-going workshops, learn from guest speakers and educators, and plan special student events at the local, state and national level all to offer the finest music experience to our students.

 

We are affiliated with the National Music Teachers Association as well as the Florida State Music Teachers Association.  If teaching music is your passion, we invite you to join our association and help us in continuing to raise the standards of music teaching in Sarasota.
